Introducing the artist behind JDetails

Jacqueline’s passion for visual arts became evident at the age of 3. She honed her skills throughout adolescence and won several awards for her artwork in high school. She started doing art professionally in 1988.

Much of her artwork is inspired by nature, and she enjoys spending time in her garden, at her family cabin up north, kayaking, hiking, and doing plein air painting. Watercolor is her favorite medium, but she is also experienced in oil painting, ink, and colored pencil. She most often practices realism, but has also done whimsical illustrations for children’s books, greeting cards, Christmas ornaments, and other designs.

Since her professional photography career began in 2000, Jacqueline has found that she most enjoys photographing children to capture their spontaneous, funny nature.

Jacqueline has illustrated five books, has had her artwork displayed at the Detroit Institute of Arts, commissioned to paint a piece for the Buckeye AZ Museum and has received the Moms Choice Gold and Creative Child awards for her book illustrations. Her work has also been used in advertising for an art supply company, whom she does product testing and reviews for

Jacqueline’s personal goals for the future of her art career are to illustrate more books and expand her painting career.
